The polo school employs a wide range of teaching aids, combined with exceptional facilities such as a full size polo playing field, all-weather outdoor riding arena, stables, wooden horse, professional tutorial classes, specialised youth polo programs, experienced polo instruction and well mannered and schooled polo ponies. Blue Springs Polo School and Blue Springs Riding Centre are owned and operated by Mark Donald - polo player, equestrian coach and equine enthusiast. Mark has been playing polo for over 20 years, and teaching for around 15 of those years! With a background that covers most equestrian disciplines, Mark offers a plethora of expertise when it comes to anything equine! From training and owning race horses, to Breaking In and re-schooling young horses and ponies, to living and breathing all things polo - Mark has the experience and expertise! Mark may now be dedicated to ‘all things polo’, but that has never stopped him providing the best of ‘all things equestrian’! Blue Springs Riding Centre is handily located between Belfast and kaiapoi. Just a short commute from downtown Christchurch, the riding centre offers well-schooled and behaved horses and ponies for beginner riders. More advanced riders can take advantage of the experienced horses for specialist instruction in showjumping or dressage. With an all weather outdoor arena, cross country and show jumps plus nearby forest trekking, the riding centre has the experienced staff, facilities and horses to meet the requirements of all abilities and ages.
